Össur Academy education continues at Spinal Symposium
A full attendance of 44 Senior Physiotherapist delegates representing the 12 largest spinal units in the South West of the UK attended the Össur Academy Spinal Symposium, held at the Cardiff Technology in Motion Clinic, and were treated to a master class in the treatment, management and rehabilitation of spinal patients.
The meeting started with Professor Mike Benjamin giving a detailed anatomy of the spine to set the stage for the speakers that followed. Össur has been fortunate enough to work with Prof Benjamin on a number of occasions and once again his presentation was very well received and of the very highest academic credibility.
The other speakers, Dr Kathleen Lyons, Mr David Wilson, Dr Valerie Sparks, Victoria Edwards and Mr Sachin Ahuga all leaders in their respective fields, maintained the attention the audience throughout the day, while Össur personnel were on hand to demonstrate the innovative Miami JTO spinal bracing system.
