Technology in Motion from Össur operates clinics nationwide, with treatment centres in London, Bristol, Coventry, Leeds and Glasgow. Each clinic is equipped to offer a full range of adult and paediatric services and specialises in the supply of high quality orthopaedic braces and supports for all injuries and conditions, under the expert guidance of qualified, state registered clinicians.
All clients are assessed individually and advised of the optimum product for their injury or condition.
Click your nearest location on the map for further information.In addition to cranial remoulding for infants who have plagiocephaly and bracing for trauma or long term conditions, a significant aspect of the services provided in the clinics is ‘Biomechanical Foot Assessment’. This is the assessment of any biomechanical dysfunction, which can affect the foot and the lower limb or spinal kinetic chain, influencing movements and function when walking or running. Treatment by foot orthotics can correct the alignment of the lower part of the body to improve performance and endurance during simple daily activity or intensive exercise.
Wimbledon and Leeds clinic has dedicated ‘gait assessment’ facilities, which includes the RS Footscan force analysis system and high speed video equipment to record all aspects of walking and running enabling the clinician to determine the biomechanical dysfunction and the orthotic solution that each patient needs.
The clinics are staffed by fully qualified Orthotists and Physiotherapists who are registered by the UK HPC (Health Professions Council). As part of their registration, each clinician undertakes continuous training and education to ensure that all treatments offered are the best available. Our clinicians also regularly give training and education to others as part of their daily work and are recognised as leaders in their field.
